Message from the President Spring 2024
Greetings to all of you! Thank you for being a part of Little Children of the World! Amazingly, this summer will mark 35 years since my first trip to the Philippines, where I met and began to sponsor Mario. My family and I have enjoyed traveling on other occasions to meet our sponsored children and participate in LCP’s programs.
On our staff trip this February, I visited all our preschool centers with Ronilo Cadiao, our wonderful LCP coordinator and college graduate, and Sheila Amy, volunteer (pictured right). We were treated to beautiful singing and recitations, including Bible verses, by these precious children. Sheila brought supplies for each student to create a game to keep, and I loved reading a book about God’s love.
LCP’s preschool program has always been one of my favorites, and we need new donors for our preschools. Would you be willing to invest in this program to prepare our youngest children to be ready for school? Would you consider sponsoring a preschool?
This summer LCP will celebrate 19 new college graduates and 59 high school graduates! Some of them, like Ronilo, have been with LCP since preschool. If your sponsored youth is graduating, you are welcome to send a card and/or a monetary gift to our office. We are so excited for these milestones and are grateful to you, our sponsors and donors, for supporting their education.
We are excited to announce that Carmenia Benosa, our LCP administrator, will be coming to the United States this fall! If you would like to host an event or invite Carmenia to visit your church, please let us know so that we can put you on her schedule. If you’ve never met this dynamic Christian leader, you do not want to miss this opportunity.
In closing, this will be my last letter to you. For the past several months, I have felt God calling me in another direction. While I do not doubt He called me to work with LCW, I can see now that His purpose was to use these experiences to prepare me for another role. Thank you for your prayers and support for Little Children of the World!
