Easter at LCP 2026

LCP hosted a 5am sunrise service to celebrate Resurrection Sunday with all members, their families, and the public. Over 3500 people attended. The crowd poured out of the multi-purpose building filling the back and sides with people. Pastor Mercy shared about the hope we have in salvation in Jesus Christ because He died for us. After the service, each family received a snack bag complete with coffee packets, boiled eggs, and a variety of breads for breakfast as they shared in community after the service.

If you were asked, “What are the three most powerful words spoken in human history?” What would you say? Some would say, “I love you,” some might say, “You are enough.” The opinions would be numerous and diverse, but may I encourage you to think of the last three words that Jesus spoke while on the cross, and just maybe you will agree that those were the most powerful words ever spoken. Jesus pushed up from His nail-pierced feet to get just enough breath to give His final cry, “It is finished!” This is the message we share through LCP! Every prophesy ever recorded was fulfilled at the cross. Jesus crushed the head of his enemy and became the perfect sacrifice and the only way by which mankind can be saved. It is finished. The debt of all human sin has been paid for in full for all who turn to Jesus, repent of their sins, take up their own cross and follow Him – it is finished. Reconciled to God, our sins cast as far as the east is from the west never to be mentioned again, and we have been given His righteousness. The deal of the century. Almost too good to be true. How can the perfect, holy God look at us as if we had never sinned? Because He looks at us through the cross of Jesus. There is no truth greater than this. It is finished! To God be the glory and thank you for the opportunity you give us to share this good news.
