Helping Hands Club 2026

Paul & Barnabus were in a dispute. I don’t know if it was knock-down, drag-out, but the Bible says it was so sharp, they parted ways. They argued over a kid. Barnabus wanted to give the kid another shot, but Paul would have none of it. We understand it in some ways. Too much was at stake, and Paul didn’t have time to babysit John Mark and coax him into courage. But Barnabus seemed to believe that everyone should have a second chance. Who was right between Barnabus and Paul? We read about what Paul and Silas did, but the Bible seems silent on how things turned out with Barnabus and John Mark. But think about this: would we have the book of Mark, one of the four gospels, if Barnabus had agreed with Paul? Did you know that it was John Mark that wrote the book of Mark? Somehow, somewhere John Mark had a transformation of heart. Could it be that when Barnabus offered a helping hand to John Mark that day, that it changed the trajectory of John Mark’s life forever? It may have changed some of ours as well. (Read about this is Acts 15:36-41)
