The Greatest Gift: Giving Hope in Jesus
40 people accepted Christ as their Savior in November at LCP. Praise the Lord!
Every day, we strive hard to meet the basic needs of nearly 10,000 people by giving them access to resources that provide shelter, food, clothing, and education. This is a noble cause, and one we do not take lightly. However, if we meet physical needs, but fail to meet spiritual needs, then we miss out on sharing the Greatest Gift of all. Sharing the Love of Christ is the undertone for all our programs and services. Only eternity will tell the true impact of Jesus in so many lives.
From November 1-16, Chinelle Flood, LCW Executive Assistant, traveled to Dumaguete with the purpose of sharing a Bible study in all 15 communities. The Peace and Faith Program offers Bible studies every week for parents in each of our communities. This is an opportunity for Christian discipleship in a small group and also for fellowship and community building. Each week, people are given the opportunity to learn more about God and grow in their relationship with Christ.
When volunteers come, attending Bible Study is a great opportunity to see the communities, meet the people, and share the love of Christ in a new way. Chinelle shared about “The God Who Sees You.” She told the story of the woman at the well and how God sees us all in our shame and weakness but cares about us anyway. Despite the woman being an outcast socially and culturally, He used her to share the message that He is the Messiah and that redemption is possible. And, today, He is still calling each of us to a relationship with Him.
This message of hope resonated with the people, and we rejoice with heaven for 40 souls that have been newly saved along with many others who made a decision to rededicate their lives to Christ. What a joyful opportunity that the Peace and Faith Program provides for people to encounter Jesus and gives them an opportunity to accept Him. We cannot share The Greatest Gift of Christ’s love without your support! Thousands have been welcomed into the Kingdom because people like you continue to give. We need your help to continue this amazing work in Jesus’ name. Prayerfully consider contributing to LCW in your holiday giving.
