NGO OF THE YEAR
LCP awarded as the Department of Social Welfare and Development NGO of the year in our region and number two in the whole Philippines! This is just another reminder that your contributions are being put to GREAT use across the world, thanks to the LCP staff!
FUNDRAISING
17 speaking engagements which raised over $2,000 in product sales; nearly $20,000 income from local fundraisers like The Perrys Gospel Concert and the Summer Raffle; 31% increase in Urgent Needs contributions since 2022; launched Gift Catalog giving platform; 2% growth in the Endowment Fund
HEALTH
133 fed daily in two soup kitchens; 49 malnourished children received regular food supplements and vitamins; ~120 patients seen each month in our free clinic; over 1,500 children’s health monitored
CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES
132 clients received vital therapies, medications, mobility aids, and/or surgeries; expanded Language Focus Classroom; trained local Rural Health Units on disabilities and sensitivity; advocated for accessibility
SHELTER HOUSING
An average of 69 residents occupied five shelters
EDUCATION
673 K-12 students supported through sponsorship; regular library book exchange; computer lab for students to complete assignments; School on Wheels revamped after COVID pause with 11 students
PRESCHOOL
120 preschool graduates with 122 enrolled in SY23-24 in seven centers in strategic locations
COLLEGE
23 college graduates with 154 in college for SY 23-24 in 7 universities studying 47 different majors
LIVELIHOOD
Expanded skills trainings to include welding and additional sewing classes; local marketing initiatives; sold over 100,000 packs of chorizo
PEACE AND FAITH
Weekly Bible Studies and Sunday Worship for over 2,000 people; 42 newly trained youth and adult Sunday School and Bible Study leaders; 182 children attended Vacation Church School; 82 youth attended Summer Venture
SPONSORSHIP
Reached historical high number of sponsored children - 895; 64 new sponsors for 125 new sponsored children; sponsors sent 2,467 food packages and 1,914 gifts to sponsored children and their families
VOLUNTEERS
8 volunteers and 4 staff traveled to the Philippines in 3 trips; 3 new members added to the Advisory Council; over 25 volunteers assisted with publication prep and fundraisers
SHIPPING & IN-KIND
Over 2,000 cans of SPAM collected and shipped; 80 boxes shipped; over 4,000 Christmas gifts distributed from shipped items; 47 items donated for silent auction
For over 35 years, Little Children of the World has been changing lives by sharing the love of Jesus. Children from poverty have earned college degrees and are now giving back and making a difference in their communities. Parents have received skills trainings to earn a better living to support their families. Thousands of souls have a personal relationship with Jesus and are sharing His love with others. None of this would be possible without you! Thank you for investing in the lives of children in need.
For many churches and charitable organizations, 2023 has been a difficult year. Economic uncertainty led to reduced giving. However, with the Lord’s blessings and your generosity, we have been able to fund all our programs and are prepared to meet the challenges of 2024. While we couldn’t possibly cover all this year had to offer, please see the back of this page for some more highlights from 2023. We appreciate your support!
Last year, you may remember that we transitioned to a new software system. While the new system will be more efficient, the transition also had its difficulties. I apologize for any inconvenience with delayed receipting or confusing statements. You may also notice differences in your annual giving report. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you for your patience as we seek to better serve you and maximize the impact of your donations.
If you gave in 2023, you should receive an annual giving statement in the mail along with a survey invitation. We would like all donors to complete the survey online or call (770) 417-3265 to complete it via phone. It should take less than 5 minutes. We would like to get to know you better, and we want to make sure we have your correct communication preferences. In appreciation for your time, we will donate a food package to a needy family for every 25 completed surveys!
