Summer is an exciting time at Little Children of the World. Our July trip was filled with celebrations! Our precious preschool children finished their first year of education, and we were treated to native dance performances in costume from each preschool. Several students even gave speeches! Our high school graduates celebrated this milestone, and most of them will be furthering their education in college. Our college graduates realized their dreams, and you can read some of their stories in this issue. LCP children and youth are multi-talented from public speaking, singing, and dancing to leadership skills. Their testimonies will warm your heart. Thank you to the many sponsors and donors who have supported these students and programs throughout their education!
For the first time since the pandemic, volunteers were able to travel to LCP. Sponsors, Nancy Cloudt and Gail Donnelly, along with Advisory Council Member Barbara Ulbrich travelled to LCP for the first time. These ladies led Bible studies in the communities, taught new songs to the Praise and Worship Team, performed health checks, and led staff training. One of the highlights for these first-time volunteers was meeting their sponsored children, and each began sponsoring another child!
What trip to LCP would be complete without visits to Hope Village! The children in our residential shelters have experiences that no child should ever face. Yet, their love and enthusiasm are contagious! Our team tie-dyed t-shirts, conducted health screenings, and shared dinner, including s’mores – Filipino style! If you would like to visit LCP and meet these dear children and our amazing LCP staff, please contact us about joining an upcoming trip. Thank you for your prayers and support of the ministry of LCW and for joining with us to share the love of Jesus!
Blessings, Susan Crawford
