Hope Village Therapeutic & Training Farm Expansion
Hope Village is where all 5 of our residential shelters are located. It is a tranquil oasis where children and youth who have experienced the unthinkable are given opportunities to learn and grow. It is here they find hope for a future they otherwise would not have.
Late last year, we were given the tremendous opportunity to purchase a small parcel of land adjacent to Hope Village. The 1250m2 (0.3 acre) property shares a fence with our existing land. You can even see our building peeking above the fence in the top photo! This purchase presents a chance for expansion of the therapeutic farming and life skills training area within Hope Village.
At the beginning of January, LCP finalized the purchase of the expansion property and have since begun the process of removing the fence and clearing the overgrowth.
We rejoice for this new opportunity and the provision of resources to make this expansion possible!
