Christmas is generally the most wonderful time of the year at LCP. While this year was a little different, it was still a good time for everyone. Instead of having one large gathering of all the LCP members on a Sunday, gatherings were scheduled by community to allow for small groups to gather and allow for social distancing. Of course, everyone received gifts, and great fellowship was had by all.
Young girls received dolls or stuffed animals, young boys received small toy cars, teenagers received things like bags or activity books, mothers received SPAM, and fathers received screwdrivers. Everyone got a bundle of clothing based on their size. There were also plenty of candy canes to go around!
We cannot mention Christmas without saying a special ‘thank you’ to everyone who helped with the Christmas gift collection. Whether you donated items, coordinated items to be given, or gave fund for shipping, we are so grateful to you! SPAM has been a huge hit with everyone at LCP, and it makes a really fun and special Christmas meal. Thank you so, so much
It was different than the usual celebration, but it was still a beautiful time of celebrating the birth of Jesus. Extra gratitude was felt as a difficult year was coming to an end. Many of you, the sponsors and donors, also sent a little something extra to make the season special. Of course, your gifts are always exciting and much appreciated, gifts for Christmas 2020 will undoubtedly go down in memory as some of the most meaningful and special.
As 2021 is now well underway, we hope you all had a safe and blessed holiday season, even if it was different than your normal traditions. We will continue to pray for all our sponsors, donors, and members throughout the year. You all make this organization continue to be able to change lives, and give us purpose for continuing on, even when it is difficult.
We move forward with 2021 knowing the Lord will provide all our needs, and will continue to bless this organization beyond measure. We are hopeful for a COVID free (or at least much less) Christmas 2021.
