Urgent Needs
Urgent Needs funding provides the budget needs for numerous ongoing programs established by Little Children of the World, Inc. When funds are lacking, urgent needs funds must be raised to fill in the gap for these programs. (See listing of programs and budget needs).
LCW continues to be challenged during this economic crisis. As of 2012, we are facing a serious budget shortfall thus threatening the survival of our programs. We are doing all we can to find creative ways for fund raising. (For example, our volunteers have put together a cookbook to raise funds for urgent needs and we scheduled a Music Extravaganza fundraiser.) We want to stay on solid footing to continue the great work in which God has entrusted to us. Throughout the last 25 years we have found faithful and compassionate donors who have kept our programs and sponsorships functioning daily but we have continually grown in the number of poverty stricken people who benefit from our services.
To keep the momentum going, we must remind ourselves that the work is ongoing for our children so much in need. The downturn in the US economy hereas well as a downturn in the economy in the Philippines creates additional challenges. The value of the dollar keeps changing making it more difficult to buy staples for survival such as rice and grits.
We are praying that God will continue to bless our website readers as you give to this ministry. With your help, precious little ones will have the love and care they so desperately need. You can truly make a difference in the life of a child.
Sponsorship
Full sponsorship is $30 a month or $15 a month matched by another half sponsor. Beginning in January 2013, a full sponsorship will be $35 a month and a half will be $17.50 a month. Little Children of the World/Little Children of the Philippines started by rescuing ten street children and today we have over 600 sponsored children. Approximately 5,000 people are being touched through this ministry by sponsors and donors all over the world. However, there are still approximately 300 children waiting and praying for sponsorship. Many of these children have been waiting for years.
If you would like to make a difference in the life of a child through sponsorship, please contact Leah Sneed at 770-358-2771 or leahsneed@littlechildren.org. Your can help change the world one child at a time.

Hepatitis B Outbreak
LCW/LCP needs your help and your prayers. There are 7 children ranging from nine to fifteen years of age who live in three LCP Residential Dorms who have been diagnosed with Hepatitis B. A physician is treating these boys and girls with various medications depending on their age and weight. The medication is very expensive.
In order to prevent the further spread of the disease, 31 boys and 6 girls as well as 8 housemothers, 22 full-time and 16 part-time staff need lab-work and a series of 3 vaccinations. The cost has been unexpected and very expensive. We are responsible for the care of precious children and staff and are praying that caring people will respond to these tremendous medical needs.
LCW was blessed to have Adriel Cha, volunteer at LCP for three weeks in May. Adriel has been conducting blood research at Stanford and will be going to Graduate School for a PhD in Immunology in the fall. He used his skills and knowledge to train the staff and communities in prevention and treatment of Hepatitis. He also raised funds before his trip to help with the beginning of the immunizations.. We thank Adriel for the superior job he did at LCP.
Please give generously to the LCP Health Program so we will be able to meet this great medical need.
